Notes
Use ripe, sweet strawberries: Fresh, juicy strawberries give the best flavor and balance the richness of the chocolate and pistachio filling in these Dubai chocolate strawberry cups.
Toast the kataifi until golden: Properly toasted kataifi pastry creates the signature crunchy texture found in viral Dubai chocolate desserts. Make sure it turns golden brown and crispy for the best results.
Pistachio cream substitute: If pistachio cream is unavailable, you can use pistachio butter or a mixture of finely ground pistachios with a little honey and cream.
Chocolate options: Milk chocolate gives the classic Dubai chocolate flavor, but dark chocolate or white chocolate can also be used for different variations of this viral strawberry chocolate dessert.
Make ahead tip: These chocolate strawberry cups can be assembled 4–6 hours in advance and kept refrigerated until serving, making them perfect for parties or special occasions.
Extra luxury presentation: For a true Dubai-style dessert look, garnish the cups with crushed pistachios, a chocolate drizzle, and optional edible gold flakes.
Storage: Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. The kataifi crunch is best when freshly toasted, so enjoy soon after assembling for optimal texture.
