  • Measuring spoons
  • Heat-safe jar or bottle (for syrup storage)
  • Tall glass (12–16 oz)
  • Ice scoop (optional)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • ½–1 tsp blue raspberry extract to taste
  • Optional: 1–2 drops blue food coloring

Soda (1 large glass)

  • ½ cup fresh lemonade
  • 2–3 tbsp blue raspberry simple syrup
  • ½–¾ cup cold sparkling water or lemon soda
  • Ice
  • Optional garnish: lemon slice blue sanding sugar rim

Instructions

Make the Blue Raspberry Simple Syrup

  • In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water.
  • Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved (avoid a hard boil).
  • Remove from heat and let cool for about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in blue raspberry extract and optional food coloring.
  • Let cool completely, then transfer to a sealed jar or bottle.
  • Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.

Assemble the Soda

  • Fill a tall glass with ice.
  • Add lemonade.
  • Pour in blue raspberry simple syrup.
  • Top with sparkling water.
  • Gently stir until evenly mixed and vividly blue.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness or fizz if needed. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Extract strength varies: Blue raspberry extract can be very potent—start with less in the syrup and add more only after tasting.
  • Color control: Some extracts are lightly tinted; add a drop or two of blue food coloring only if you want a more vibrant hue.
  • Sweetness balance: Adjust syrup amount based on how sweet or tart your lemonade is.
  • Carbonation tip: Add sparkling water last and stir gently to keep the soda fizzy.
  • Make-ahead friendly: The syrup can be prepared up to 2 weeks in advance and stored refrigerated.
  • Scaling up: For pitchers or parties, mix lemonade and syrup first; add carbonation right before serving.
  • Flavor variations: Add vanilla cream for a creamy soda, extra lemon juice for more tartness, or crushed ice for a slush-style drink.

✨ Optional Variations

  • Creamy soda: Add a splash of vanilla cream or sweet cream foam
  • Slushie: Blend lemonade and syrup with crushed ice, then top with fizz
  • Party pitcher: Mix lemonade and syrup first; add carbonation just before serving
  • Candy look: Rim glass with blue sanding sugar 🍭
