  • Knife for cutting squares
  • Airtight container for storage

Ingredients

Fudge Base

  • 3 cups 510g white chocolate chips
  • 1 can 14 oz / 396g sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 tbsp 42g unsalted butter
  • tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp butter extract recommended
  • tsp almond extract
  • 2 tsp instant espresso powder finely ground
  • ¼ tsp fine salt

Sugar Cookie Mix-Ins

  • ¼ cup 25–30g crushed sugar cookies (slightly crisp)
  • 2 tbsp white sanding sugar or sprinkles

Optional

  • 1 tbsp dry coffee creamer
  • Flaky salt for finishing

Instructions

Prepare the Pan

  • Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal.

Melt the Base

  • In a saucepan over low heat, combine white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter.
  • Stir constantly until just melted and smooth. Do not overheat or allow the mixture to boil.
  • Alternative method: Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.

Add the Latte Flavor

  • Remove from heat and whisk in espresso powder, vanilla extract, butter extract, almond extract, salt, and coffee creamer (if using).
  • Mix until smooth and glossy with no visible espresso granules.

Fold in Cookie Crumbs

  • Gently fold in most of the crushed sugar cookies, reserving a small amount for topping.

Pour and Decorate

  • Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Top with sanding sugar or sprinkles and the reserved cookie crumbs. Add flaky salt if desired.

Chill

  • Refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or overnight, until fully firm.

Slice and Serve

  • Lift the fudge out using parchment paper and cut into squares using a sharp knife, wiping between cuts for clean edges.

Notes

🍪 Authentic sugar cookie latte flavor

This fudge is designed to taste like a sugar cookie latte in dessert form, with a buttery, vanilla-forward base and a subtle almond note. The coffee flavor should be smooth and mild, sitting in the background rather than overpowering the cookie flavor.

☕ Coffee flavor control

Use finely ground instant espresso powder for the best results. It provides a rich latte flavor without adding extra liquid, which helps the fudge set properly. Avoid using brewed coffee, as it can make the texture too soft.

🍫 White chocolate quality

The quality of white chocolate affects both texture and flavor. Higher-quality chips or bars will melt more smoothly and create a creamier fudge, while lower-quality chips may result in a slightly softer or less stable set.

🔥 Prevent grainy or oily fudge

White chocolate is sensitive to heat, so melt it gently over low heat and stir constantly. Remove it from heat as soon as it becomes smooth. Overheating can cause the mixture to become grainy or separate.

🧊 Proper chilling for best texture

Chill the fudge for at least 6 hours, or overnight for best results. This ensures a firm, sliceable texture. If the center feels soft, allow more time in the refrigerator.

🍪 Cookie texture tips

Use slightly crisp sugar cookies instead of soft ones. This helps maintain a better texture and prevents the cookie pieces from becoming too soft inside the fudge.

🧂 Balancing sweetness

This is a rich and sweet dessert. A light sprinkle of flaky salt on top can help balance the sweetness and enhance both the cookie and coffee flavors.

📦 Storage and make ahead

Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. It can also be frozen for up to 2 months and thawed in the refrigerator before serving.

💡 Clean slicing tip

For neat squares, use a sharp knife and wipe it clean between each cut.
